Could Your next chapter start in Perth?

More sunshine. No on-call roster.

And the freedom to practise good veterinary medicine.

Have you ever wondered what life as a vet in Australia could look like?

At Assocaited Veterinary Group (AVG), we're always interested in connecting with experienced veterinarians who share our passion for providing great care and building genuine relationships with their clients.

We're a privately owned group of nine veterinary clinics across Perth, Western Australia. Each clinic has its own personality, team and connection to the local community, with the added benefit of support and resources from the wider AVG group.

Whether you're actively considering a move from the UK or simply curious about what opportunities might be available, we'd love to start a conversation.

A little more about working with us

We know that finding the right role is about more than just the job itself. It's about feeling supported, enjoying your work and having time for the things that matter outside the clinic.

Here are a few things that make working with AVG a little different:

No on-call roster

When you finish for the day, your time is your own.

Our clinics are supported by dedicated emergency providers for overnight care, so there are no overnight, on-call or formal out-of-hours requirements.

Of course, if you're managing a patient who needs additional stabilisation before referral, you can stay and continue their care.

The freedom to practise good medicine

We believe our vets should have the autonomy to make sound clinical decisions based on what is ethically right for their patients.

You'll have the freedom to recommend appropriate diagnostics and treatment, communicate openly with clients and work cases up properly, without being expected to follow a rigid formula.

And you're never on your own. Our Clinical Directors are available for case discussions, guidance and a second opinion whenever you need one.

Find a clinic that feels like the right fit

With nine clinics across Perth, there's an option for everyone.

From larger multi-vet hospitals to smaller community practices, each of our clinics has its own personality and way of doing things.

Most of our work is small animal general practice, although some clinics also see exotics, birds and the occasional farm pet.

If you have a particular clinical interest, we'd love to explore how we could shape an opportunity around it.

A life outside the clinic

Perth has a lot to offer beyond the working day.

Think beautiful beaches, long sunny days, a relaxed outdoor lifestyle and incredible wine regions just a short drive from the city.

And with Perth only seven or eight hours ahead of the UK, depending on the time of year, keeping in touch with family and friends back home is still very manageable.

MAKING THE MOVE TO AUSTRALIA

Moving overseas is a big decision, and you don't need to have all the answers before getting in touch.

AVG is an approved employer sponsor, and we can discuss sponsorship opportunities for eligible veterinarians looking to work and live in Australia.

We're happy to talk through the different opportunities across our clinics, veterinary registration, sponsorship and what relocating to Perth could look like for you.

There's no pressure and no expectation. Just an informal, confidential conversation to explore whether AVG could be the right fit.
